About
Welcome to Gucun Park, a mesmerizing haven nestled in the heart of Shanghai's Baoshan district. At 沪太路4788号, this expansive park is a vibrant tapestry of nature, culture, and delightful adventures, perfect for families and nature enthusiasts alike.
One cannot help but admire the sheer vastness of Gucun Park, often described as "huge" by visitors. This picturesque paradise boasts an array of attractions, from the whimsical Dinosaur Park, where life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs roar to life, to the serene Cherry Blossom Festival, which enchants visitors each spring. As you wander through the flowering pathways, the sweet scent of sakura blossoms fills the air, creating a serene backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
Flora enthusiasts, like Awal SJR, extol the park’s beauty, mentioning the myriad of colorful flowers and the free-flying birds that add a touch of magic to the landscape. In addition to the floral displays, Gucun Park offers a myriad of delectable food options. Chris Perks highlighted various enticing dishes, from strawberries wrapped in sugar to savory grilled squid, making the park not just a visual feast but also a journey for the taste buds.
The park also encourages outdoor activities, as visitors are welcome to bring their own food and camping gear. This allows families to enjoy a delightful picnic amidst the blossoms and countless attractions, and to truly soak in the tranquil atmosphere. With ample space to explore, it is recommended to dedicate a full day or even more to fully experience the entire park, especially if you have children drawn to its dinosaur-themed adventures.
Whether you're a photography enthusiast seeking the perfect shot or a family looking to create lasting memories, Gucun Park is a treasure trove of wonders waiting to be discovered. Just a note for those planning a visit: weekends can get busy, so consider a weekday trip for a more peaceful experience. “ This Park is HUGE. So much to see and do. Don’t miss the “Dinosaur Park”, the Peacocks in spring, the Ferris wheel and the incredible blossoms all around the Park - note, that it does get busy, especially on the week ends and there is an entry fee. ”
“ If you're into Sakura flowers, then this place should be in your list of places in Shanghai. This place is famous for Sakura Festival and hence the ideal season to go is the start of Spring and thats when we went. If you have kids, then you'll need to have a full day or even more if your kids love dinosaurs (because there's a dino park within Gucun Park) to see the whole place because its huge. If you're into photography, then I'd suggest to choose weekday and go early. You can take food and camping stuff inside and there are many food options within the park. ”
“ Visited during end of April 2025 for seeing cherry blossoms. Must visit if your in shanghai especially during March April. ”
“ In my personal opinion, this is a paradise garden because of the various flowers here. Birds are also free to fly in this park, very beautiful. I can also find various foods here such as strawberries wrapped in sugar, various grilled squid and much more. The fragrant fragrance of cherry blossoms can also be smelled in this park. It feels like I don't want to leave this place. What makes me very touched is that my parents do not need to buy an entrance ticket to enjoy the beauty of this park. I salute you because people here have great respect for old men. ”
“ Good place with lots of flowers. There are also dinosaurs with sound and its moving. ”

“ It was an hour via Shanghai Metro. Gucun Park is also the name of the station at Line 7. We were there end of March and we arrived late at 4pm and went inside via Gate1 and we were walking opposite of most people who are coming back out from usual entrance of Gate2. The Sakura Street is such a wonder. The flowers are in bloom and it was nice to see people of all ages enjoying an afternoon in the park. ”
